Personal data

Personal data is data relating to your person. This includes your name, your address and your e-mail address. You do not have to reveal any personal data to be able to visit our website. In some cases, we require your name and address, as well as additional information to be able to offer you the required service.

The same applies in case we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your enquiries. In these cases, we will always notify you. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

If you use one of our services, as a rule we only gather the data that it necessary to offer you our service. We may ask for further information, but which is of a voluntary nature. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to be able to offer you our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Cookies

If you visit our web pages, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transmitted from an Internet server to your browser and are stored on its hard drive. It is only the Internet Protocol address that is stored – no personal data. This information that is stored in the cookies allows you to be identified automatically at the next visit to our website, which facilitates use for you.

Of course, you can also visit our web pages without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be identified at the next visit, you can also decline the use of cookies by changing the settings on your browser to “reject cookies”. You can find the respective procedure in the user instructions for your browser. However, if you reject the use of cookies, it can lead to restrictions in the use of some areas of our web pages.

Google Analytics with anonymization function

On our webpage we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of the company Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”: text files that are deposited on your computer and thereby allow an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by these cookies, for example the time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.
On our website, we use Google Analytics with the addition "_gat._anonymizeIp". In this case, your IP address is shortened and therefore anonymized by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our webpage, to compile reports for us about website activities and to provide further services associated with website and Internet use. Google may also transmit this information to third parties, if this is legally required or insofar as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
According to Google, Google will in no case link your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies through a corresponding setting of your browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use the full scope of all our website functions.
In addition, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data about your accessed websites is gathered by Google. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics deactivation add-on for browsers does not, however, prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we may have appointed. Further information about the installation of the browser add-on is available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

If you visit our webpage through a mobile end device (smartphone or tablet), you must instead
click this link , in order to prevent the tracking by Google Analytics within this website. This is also possible as an alternative to the browser add-on above. By clicking the link, an opt-out cookie is placed on your browser that is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie is also deleted, so you must click the link again.

If you have agreed to your Google web and app browser history being linked with your Google account and information from your Google account being used to personalize displays, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to compile target group lists for remarketing across different devices. To do so, first Google Analytics gathers your Google-authenticated IDs on our website that are linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Then Google Analytics temporarily links your ID with your Google Analytics data to optimize our target groups.

If you do not agree with this, you can terminate it through the corresponding settings in the “My account” area of your Google account.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our web pages, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. This includes: type and version of the browser used, the date and time of access, as well as the IP address.

This data is anonymized and is only used for statistical purposes or to improve our Internet and online services. This anonymized data is stored – separately from personal data – on secure systems and cannot be attributed to any individual persons. This means that your personal data is protected at all times.

Online job application

Your application data sent to us is gathered electronically and processed for the purpose of carrying out the application procedure. This refers especially to the following personal data: all data entered by you, as well as your application with the data it contains.
If an employment contract follows your application, we can store your transmitted data in your personal file for the purpose of the standard organizational and administrative process, in consideration of the relevant legal regulations. The deleting of your transmitted data follows automatically within two months of notification of the rejection of your job application. This does not apply if a longer storage is necessary due to legal requirements (for example the burden of proof according to the General Law on Equal Treatment) or if you have explicitly agreed to a longer storage in our applicant database.

Security

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees, as well as service providers, are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we gather and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are regularly reviewed. Please ensure that you have the latest version.

Right to information/appeal

Please contact us anytime if you would like information about which personal data about you we store. You can also withdraw your permission at any time for us to gather and process your personal data. In both cases, please contact us directly.
