For protection and prevention against sexual violence: Nexans autoelectric makes a donation to Dornrose e. V.

Floß, February 27, 2025. The goal is clear: to be a safe haven for victims of sexual violence and to continue breaking down the stigma surrounding the issue. Nexans autoelectric Dornrose e. V. is supporting this important work with a donation of €3,000.

“Our fundamental aim is to raise awareness of the relevance of this issue and to provide the best possible support to victims, their families and the professionals who care for them,” says Iris Müller, the association's first female board member, summarising the work of Dornrose e. V. The association is largely funded by public funds, but has to cover 10% of its personnel costs itself. “To do this, we are absolutely dependent on donations, such as those from Nexans autoelectric.”

In addition to providing one-to-one support to people seeking help, Dornrose also offers group courses, works closely with other organizations such as women's shelters and youth welfare offices, and carries out essential prevention work. The latter has now been stepped up to focus on sexualized violence in the digital space, and Nexans autoelectric's donation was therefore used primarily for relevant training courses. In the near future, the association hopes to create its own position focused on prevention. There is plenty of interest in workshops on this topic.

In addition to the donation to Dornrose e. V., the Floß-based automotive supplier made donations to four other social institutions in the region at the end of 2024, totaling 14,000 euros.
