Serve after serve – more fun and exercise

Nexans autoelectric is donating €2,500 to the elementary and middle school in Floß for the purchase of a new, weatherproof table tennis table for the schoolyard.

Floß, July 31, 2024. Globally active, regionally committed. This is a top priority for Nexans autoelectric, an automotive supplier based in Floß in the Upper Palatinate region of Germany. Following a suggestion from the parents' council – which includes a long-standing employee who is an active member – the company was happy to respond and replace the old, weather-damaged table tennis table with a new, more durable model. Of course, balls and a set of bats were also provided for playing fun. The parents' council also donated a class set of 30 bats. This means that the table tennis table can also be used in physical education classes and by the open all-day school.

“The table is already very popular with young and old alike,” confirms headmaster Herbert Kraus. “There's a big rush before class and during breaks anyway.” Now nothing stands in the way of the perfect balance between educational German and math lessons.
